Real Madrid debutant gave his best

The Wales star Gareth Bale played a great match last night on his Real Madrid debut, scoring a much needed goal. Even so, the wales forward said that he was quite disappointed with the outcome of the Real Madrid-Villarreal, a 2-2 tie, which sets Real Madrid two point behind Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in La Liga.

He even posted on Twitter that he was proud to score on his debut, and very pleased to get 60 minutes on-field, but that he was quite disappointed that he did not get the result he was aiming for. His Twitter followers didn’t fail to provide him congratulations and encouragements. Some of the names on there are pretty known, such as Joe Calzaghe and Michael Owen, who actually played an entire season playing for Real Madrid himself.

Gareth Bale, a 24 year old that became the most expensive player in the world when he signed in with the Spanish giants for £85m by leaving the Spurs two weeks ago, had his first game on his new team, Real Madrid, against Villarreal in La liga.He actually paid of some of that transfer money back by scoring a good goal in the first-half.

He intercepted the ball after a cross from Daniel Carvajal, shot it from close range, thus equalising the score for Real Madrid a few minutes before half-time.

He had a good attempt at scoring early in the second half as well with a shot from the outside area.He was withdrawn from the field after 62 minutes of game time, because he has not fully recovered from his knee injury.

The wales superstar has a six-year deal at the Bernabeu, ranging at £300,000 per week salary.
